Database Admin

TECHEAD is seeking a Database Admin to join our team. As a Database Admin your tasks will include but may not be limited to:

Qualifications:

Under general supervision, provides technical support, database problem management, change management and maintenance on systems. 2) Performs moderate level problem analysis for complex configurations and maintains data within databases. 3) Performs installation, configuration, customization and tuning. Provides answers to technical questions and problems while adhering to standards and procedures. 4) Participates in project activities and provides technical assistance for assigned projects. 5) Works with customers and senior engineers to document/implement customer requests. 6) Performs other related duties as assigned. Working Conditions: Will require the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. Physical Demands: Requires some degree of sitting (for prolonged periods of time), standing, lifting carrying, pushing, pulling more than 20 lbs. Hours of Work: May require extended work hours. Occasional travel including overnight stays may be necessary. Will be subject to on-call and call back as needed. May be exposed to moderate noise from equipment. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with 3 to 5+ years of relevant work experience. Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for computer network activities associated with the installation, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring, maintenance and security of databases in the organization. Designs, develops, modifies, tests and evaluates programs for functional areas. Analyzes existing programs, formulates requirements for new systems, performs coding and tests/debugs programs. Follows transition and system implementation plans. Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Assists users in transition and implementation of new systems/programs. Experienced level position requires developing career in field and gaining knowledge of industry practices. Requires moderate level of experience and proficiency in field. Knowledge: Progressive knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in functional area. General knowledge of department/business lines, Banks, and / or System operations, policies, procedures and technologies. Communications: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience. Risk Management: [The individual] is responsible for understanding and applying risk management discipline in decision making and contributing to his or her function`s risk management. Decision Making: Works under direction with infrequent checks; follows established methods and clear-cut policy. Makes decisions when general instructions or established methods indicate action to be taken.

Comments/Special Instructions

Must be a US Citizen. Must be able to pass Key Point High investigation. Must be knowledgeable in Oracle 12c.
