Senior Enterprise Administrator

12+ Month Contract

TECHEAD is seeking a Senior Enterprise Administrator to join our team. As a Senior Enterprise Administrator your tasks will include but may not be limited to:

Qualifications

This level is staffed by individuals who have an expert understanding of client/server infrastructure, or who have an expert understanding of WANs, LANs and telecommunication concepts as they relate to groupware system and database replication.

Responsibilities 

Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, principles, practices, and procedures to carry out all aspects of the job Proficiently performs assignments having the knowledge, skills, abilities, and Experience needed to carry out all aspects of the job Exercises independent judgment and decision-making in planning, organizing and conducting work assignments May receive instructions and guidance on unusual or complex problems and knows when to get others involved Effectively utilizes the proper resources to develop solutions and devise new approaches to problems encountered in work assignments Identifies and eliminates unnecessary work and non-value added activities Related experience desired. Knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as experience desired in operating systems include: - Windows 2008, 2012, 2016 VMware Nice to have: Citrix

Administer patch management server automation system. Primary responsibility is to secure server infrastructure by applying all applicable security patches to 7000+ windows servers per published schedule. Tasks include but are not limited to:

• Install patch management agents
• Troubleshoot agents that are not communicating with BladeLogic system/SCCM 2016
• Create and maintain patch groups
• Perform patch analysis as needed and build all patch jobs per schedule
• Adhere to published patching schedule
• Report on success/failure of patches applied /missing
• Follow all standard operating procedures, suggest changes as needed to suit real life conditions
• Maintain patch server inventory
• File change records on time
• Only perform tasks during the correct window
• Only perform tasks assigned by group lead
• Work with application teams and infrastructure coordinators to troubleshoot and resolve problem systems
• Do not make changes to patching application without group discussions on the need of such changes. Pressure of a patch weekend and the need for someone who supports that to be able to think on their feet, use good judgment, and handle multiple tasks at once on tight deadlines is necessary.
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
