Senior Network Engineer
Virginia Beach, Virginia - Direct Hire Opportunity

TECHEAD is seeking a Senior (Network) Engineer III to join our team. As a Senior (Network) Engineer III your tasks will include but may not be limited to:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operations, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems with a focus on LAN/WAN/WLAN and Data Center protocols including IPv4 and IPv6. This job requires someone familiar with Information Systems concepts, practices, and standard procedures for inter-networking of enterprise-class devices, virtual environments, and streaming media.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

• B.S. Engineering or related degree, or 3-5 years experience preferred
• Must have current CCNP Switch and Routing
• Desired Certifications: CCNA, ability to achieve VCP
• Experience and knowledge in Networking with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus products and implementations; Wireless, LAN and Internetworking protocols
• Operations experience with Enterprise-class appliances, applications, hardware and processes
• Experience with Data Center class protocols and technologies including Fibre Channel, 10GE and Data Center Ethernet, IGRP/EIGRP and other routing protocols a plus
• Demonstrated knowledge of current and developing technologies and ability to analyze technology for use in the current environment
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication and organizational skills; must have the ability to communicate at all levels within an organization
• Effective use of commonly used network DevOps applications e.g. Visio, NetBrain, Solarwinds
• Experience with Enterprise-class appliances, applications, hardware and processes
• Client-centric and able to work in a variety of environments; must be able to manage customer relationships
